The Driving Test
In 2007 the RTA introduced a new tougher driving test. The test focuses on Low Risk Driving and Hazard Perception skills and has been designed for learners with extensive driving experience.
The RTA’s Guide to the Driving Test lists what your testing officer will be looking for during your test. It is strongly recommended you obtain a copy of this booklet. You can download it here.
The test better reflects the demands of modern motoring. There is less emphasis on manoeuvres and stricter marking, combined with the need to drive on busy major roads mean that you need to be better prepared than ever.
The single most common reason for failing the driving test is lack of preparation.
Road Ways Driving School ensures that you will be driving to the required standard by conducting a series of trial driving tests. You will know when you are driving-test-ready.
Trial tests have two functions :-
- to ensure that you can drive safely without assistance for the duration of a typical test route
- to enable you to feel familiar with driving test conditions boosting your level of confidence in the fact that you will perform equally well under genuine test pressure.
Unlike some driving schools which offer meaningless “first time pass guarantees” Road Ways Driving School does not guarantee you will pass your driving test first time.
Road Ways Driving School guarantees 100% commitment to assist you in passing your driving test.
